Everyone can benefit from a mental break sometimes. Life’s heaviness can feel inescapable and before you find yourself splashing around violently in an ocean of overwhelming emotion, check in with yourself. Find something that can take you away from it all, even just for a moment. Whatever that may be for you, seek it out and appreciate it for everything is provides you. Calm, silence, relaxation, bliss. Whatever the feeling is, allow it to overcome you and be still it its moments.
It’s okay not to be okay, but remember to face it once in awhile. Be with the pain and the hurt, sit with your fears and worries. Know that they are serving you in some way, allowing you to grow stronger once you’ve conquered and overcome them. Do not allow them to consume you. You are much strong and far greater than you could ever imagine and once you get there you’ll wonder what held you back for so long.
